Who are we?

Independent Options North West is a community focused charity dedicated to supporting
people with disabilities, additional needs, and their families.

Our building is a ‘safe place’ for our community. We are accessible, welcoming, inclusive,
and able to support people who may need assistance, reassurance, or somewhere to feel
secure.

Our facilities are designed to accommodate a wide range of physical, sensory, and additional
needs, ensuring that everyone can access and enjoy our services with dignity and
independence.

Who we support and how?

Our services benefit some of the most vulnerable members of our community, many of
whom would be socially isolated without our familiar Centre space.

At the heart of our work is our community centre, which serves as a safe, welcoming hub
where children, families and adults with disabilities can meet others, build confidence,
develop friendships, and participate in a range of structured activities.

Our services have been shaped by the people who use them, ensuring that they reflect the
needs and interests of our local community. We currently offer an inclusive SEN toddler
group, weekly social groups for adults with disabilities, including arts and crafts and karaoke
sessions, and a well attended monthly social disco. These activities provide opportunities for
creativity, social interaction, skill development, and community participation in a supportive
environment.

We also offer planned respite breaks for adults with disabilities, providing a safe, welcoming
and enjoyable place to stay while giving families and carers a well-deserved break.

Our respite service offers personalised support, meaningful activities and a home-from-home
environment where guests can relax, build confidence and make new friendships.
