David's Story

This is David. Through Independent Options’ Supported Activities and Independent Living Skills (SAILS) Service he is supported to spend time at the service’s allotment space which has enabled David and his fellow service users to experience the enjoyment and satisfaction of planting, growing and harvesting their own plants and vegetables. It also provides valuable experience of planning, communicating and working within a team.

David has worked hard over the summer with his fellow service users tending to the allotment space, and has grown this wonderful crop of sunflowers for the allotment sunflower competition, as well as onions and potatoes.
