Our First Cruise - Melissa's Story |
|

We went from Southampton and we had to leave home at 6 am. Our ship was called The Ventura and we visited Vigo, Lisbon, La Rochelle and Brest. I liked the food and the staff were very helpful towards us.
The shows were brilliant, it was very relaxing we did not lift a finger. I liked the cookery demo and I also liked the reflexology demo and the ghd demo. I loved the sailaway parties they were a lot of fun and singing. The final one before we sailed home was like The Last Night at the Proms. The cabins were comfortable and we had lots of room. Our cabins and bathrooms were fully accessible for wheelchairs and hoists were provided also. We had tea and coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV.
The food was exceptional as we had six courses each night and so many choices. We had balconies and sometimes enjoyed just sitting together or having room service whilst at sea or in one of the several ports we called at.
Going ashore wasn't a problem as the porters pushed the wheelchairs on to the quayside and then back on board when we were ready.
We all had a great experience on this holiday as we haven't done this before. It was the BEST holiday I've been on.
Wish You Were Here!!
