Pauline's Story
Pauline’s son Nick is 44 years old and has been using Independent Options’ short breaks services since he was a child. Jennie’s Story
Jennie is a 19 year old young woman who has autism. She was living at home with her family but now has her own apartment, where she lives independently with support, which is paid for through her individual budget. Jamie is 20 years old and has Asperger’s Syndrome. Jamie had to move out of his family home because he had used threatening behaviour towards his mum and sister and the police had been involved. Click for More
Adam’s Story
Adam is 20 years old and has autism. He started having short breaks at 55a Beech Avenue after hearing about the service through our ‘transitions group for young people who have recently moved from children’s to adult services.
